Job Description

Research Assistant, Focus on Korea Macroeconomics

*Our global research team at BAML is recognized among the top for its quality research in numerous professionals surveys (eg, Institutional Investor survey), and also Korea equity research has been ranked #1 in Korea for 6 years. 

Responsibilities

  • The candidate will be supporting the Korea Economist with primary focus on Korea macroeconomics, but also Asia-wide reports and the Fixed Income & FX Strategy research.
  • Engage in data-intensive work
  • Handle heavy requests for economics data
  • Able to draft research reports in English, handle databases (CEIC, Bloomberg, etc)

Requirements

·         Bachelor in Economics. New college graduates with solid background and motivation are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

·         Preferably, 1-2 years of experience with research or other analytical capability in a multi-national bank or large financial institution. Or some internship experiences in financial industry.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word; and preferably, experiences with Stata and Eviews (statistical programs)
  • Interested in economic policies, markets and able to handle heavy client requests
  • Strong command of English and Korean (written and verbal)
