Chenggang Xu 교수는 미국 하버드대학에서 경제학 박사학위를 취득하였으며 영국 LSE 교수를 역임하였다. The Journal of Economic Literature, American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Comparative Economics 등의 학술지에 다수의 논문을 게재하였으며 제도경제학, 체제이행경제학, 중국경제학을 연구, 강의하고 있다.
