This study aims to explore the gender gap in the labor market from the perspective of intergenerational dynamics of prescriptive gender stereotypes. Using Panel Study of Family Dynamics (PSFD) from Taiwan, I focus on individuals born between 1990 and 1995 and examine the impact of the relative duration of household chores performed by their parents during their ages of 8 to 15 on their occupational choices, income levels, and corresponding educational attainment as they begin their first formal employment. The study is currently in the process of data cleanup. I will provide an overview of the research background, econometric model, basic information regarding the data, and the current status of data organization.
