2. 삼성꿈장학재단은 글로벌 리더로서의 성장 잠재력을 가지고 있는 개발도상국 출신 대학(원)생들을 선발하여, 국내 대학에서 수학하는데 필요한 장학금을 지원하는 Glo-harmony 장학 프로그램을 진행하고 있습니다.

3. 2013학년도 2학기 Glo-harmony 장학생 선발을 다음과 같이 안내해 드리니, 동 프로그램 취지에 맞는 학생들의 많은 지원 바랍니다.

              가. 지원자격
                1) DAC 수원국 명단에 있는 개발도상국 출신자
                   (중국인의 경우, 한인 후손을 대상으로 하며 교포 제외)
                   ※ 2013년의 경우, 한국전쟁 참전국 중 현재 개발도상국인 국가 출신 학생을 우선적으로 선발
                      (남아프리카공화국, 에티오피아, 콜롬비아, 터키, 태국, 필리핀)
                2) 가정 경제상황이 어려운 자
                3) 학업수행능력(언어, 성적)이 우수한 자
                4) 졸업 후, 본국으로 돌아가 고국에 기여할 의지, 잠재력이 있는 자
                5) 글로벌 리더로의 성장 가능성이 높은 자
              나. 선발인원 : 4명 내외
              다. 신청마감 : 2013. 7. 24.(수) 18:00까지

Overview
Seoul National University has been one of collaborative institutions of the Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation’s Glo-harmony(domestic scholarship for students from developing nations) Scholarship Program. The program started from spring semester of 2008. SNU will select approximately four undergraduate/graduate students among applicants from developing countries for the Fall semester 2013.

Eligibility Criteria

?        Students from DAC recipient country

?        Undergraduate or graduate students

?        Undergraduate students: going into first, second or third year in Spring 2013

?        Demonstrating financial need

?        Majoring in Humanities or Social Sciences are given priority

?        Applicants from combatant nations of the Korean War(South Africa, Ethiopia, Colombia, Turkey, Thailand, and the Philippines) are given priority in 2013

?        Willing and capable of contributing to their home country upon graduation

?        Having potential to become a global leader

?        Language proficiency of either English or Korean is highly recommended, but not compulsory

Value of Scholarship
Approx. 4 students(undergraduate/graduate)

Procedure & Important Dates
Undergraduate

?        Full Tuition Fee is provided by SNU starting from Fall 2013(Maximum of 8 semesters)

?        Scholarships will be revised and renewed every year depending on their grades(minimum of 2.7), study ability, improvements in Korean Language, and fund availability at the time of renewal

?        Financial support (dormitory fee, insurance, text books, food, etc.) will be provided by Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation

Graduate:

?        Financial support will be provided by Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation
