Course Description: 

This course introduces the theory of search and matching. The theory has vast applications, both in micro and macro, from labor to finance. I focus on illustrating three basic frameworks (optimal search, equilibrium random search, and directed search) in the labor market context, but also discuss a few other applications (such as marriage market models, monetary search, and over-the-counter markets).
